Sheik has been notably nerfed in her transition from ''Melee'' to ''Brawl''. She has lost a lot of offensive options that the she had before, her moves deal overall less damage, and her KOing ability was deceptively toned down, as well as being easier herself to KO. She has gained some buffs such as a less situational attack in her up smash due to the introduction of [[DACUS]], and a [[stall-then-fall]] in her down aerial to negate all vertical knockback. These buffs, however, do not properly compensate for the loss of her many other abilities, resulting in a dramatic drop from her previous top tier position in Melee.

[[Needle Storm]] has been given [[transcendent priority]], which overall improves her camping ability, and she is also one of the biggest benefactors of the [[DACUS]] technique.
