A recent revert to this template ([http://www.ssbwiki.com/index.php?title=Template:Change&diff=871948&oldid=871887 diff]) removed the alt text from the image, and linked the image to its description page. This results in MediaWiki generating confusing default alt text ("Notice dot p-n-g" instead of "Change"). It also results in overlinking, requiring many Tab key presses to navigate change lists by keyboard. | |||
The editor making this revert stated that accessibility efforts are not worthwhile on SmashWiki, and directed further discussion to this talk page. I can understand accessibility being a low priority, but I'm not sure how that justifies the additional step of a revert to keep the wiki less accessible.
