Pikachu and Pichu (ピカチュウ&ピチュー, Pikachu & Pichu) is the 48th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee. In this event match, the player may choose any character and will have two stocks. The player must fight 2 Pichu with one stock each and a Pikachu with infinite stocks; the two Pichu will not actively attack the player unless they're approached, while Pikachu will constantly hound the player. However, if one Pichu is KO'd, then the other Pichu will begin to attack the player as well. The player must KO both Pichu. The stage played on is Dream Land, making it the only Melee event match set on a past stage.
Trivia
- The name of the event and the presence of two Pichu are references to the animated short Pikachu and Pichu, where in one scene, Pikachu has to protect the Pichu brothers and escape from an angry Houndour.
