Champ, is an American Smasher who mainly uses Fox. He was a panelist on the SoCal Brawl Power Rankings and the Pre-Brawl SoCal Melee Power Rankings. He is also the host of the Champ Combo series of tournaments (Champ Combo: Yayuhz & NorCal Editions/Version, NES and two events a la Pokemon; and Super Champ Combo, your typical big 3 day tourney) , whose nomenclature followed the naming conventions of Nintendo consoles, that ran mainly in the Melee era with one mini tournament in the Brawl era (Champ Combo Pocket), along with nealdt. It has been said that Champ's grammar is "too good" as it adds to the comedic value of his already funny posts, though he has been absent from Smash World Forums for quite some time.
Champ is known to log on to his UStream account and play Megaman 9, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption or show a rare live match between him and underground smash phenom Jmex.
Smash 64
Champ's knowledge of the original only goes far enough to tell you three things: 1) Link is crap 2) Kirby and Pikachu are top tier and 3) Isai is a sodomizing rape machine. Which will generally suffice.
Melee
In the Melee era, he is known for having a mix-styled Fox, catching most American opponents off guard from the absence of short-hops and use of running attack. Due to the shffl'ed aerials being staples of Fox gameplay, his full-hopped un-fast-falled aerials serve as automatic mix-ups to the average smasher. His frequent use of the running attack led to the development of the "Champ Combo". Officially it consists of a running-attack to an up-tilt to an up-air.
He served as staff in Zero Challenge 2 (0c2).
Smash Idols for Champ were Masashi the pinnacle of J-styled Foxes and Thunders/Koto an American-styled Fox in Japan.
Brawl
At the onset of Brawl he used Snake. For those in the know he pioneered many of Snake's standard tactics; most notably is his mortar-slide, though due to Snake's popularity this information has fallen by the wayside [citation needed]. Snake eventually bored him to tears with his near invincibility and defensive/camping playstyle. His search for a new main led him through the low tiers where he found solace in the manly bosom of one Captain Falcon. His horrible priority, damage and knockback necessitated an aggressive playstyle, while his fast attacks and flashy combos facilitated it. Along the way he found himself redeeming other lower tiered characters: Fox, his old friend and Sheik the fallen ninja whom his friend had loved using in the melee era but was crestfallen at her brutal nerfing. Now Champ is credited with the veritable invention of these character's playstyles by those in the know. The elusive Fox; the aggressive Falcon, and the tilt-locking Sheik.
Champ's tournament activity has come to a slow grind as appearances are rare. When he does appear he often goes random for reasons yet unknown.
He jokingly states that he is banned from Allisbrawl. The absence of an account from him seems to corroborate this information.
