Event 37: Legendary Pokémon: Difference between revisions

In this event, a player must defeat 4 giant [[Wire Frames]] and a [[Jigglypuff]]. Each has 2 lives.  The only item that will appear is the [[Poké Ball]]. Every Poké Ball holds either a legendary Pokémon or a [[Wobbuffet]]. The only character on the other team who can use a Poké Ball is Jigglypuff, and in fact it will do nothing else, while all the Wire Frames ever do is attack the player's character. The goal of this event is to defeat both Jigglypuff and the Wire Frames.

Jigglypuff should be the first character the player should [[KO]], as if she gets a Legendary it will have a huge negative effect on the player. Jigglypuff can be easily defeated by using the Poké Balls. The Wire Frames should be dealt with last. A good Pokémon like [[Moltres]] and [[Lugia]] will KO the Wire Frames fast, while others like Raikou and Ho-oh will raise their damage percentage to a point where you can K.O them easily using smash attacks, or other moves with high knockback, like [[Rest]] or [[Stone]].

The player can also use [[Ganondorf|Ganondorf's]] no-glitch [[Cruel Melee]] strategy to KO the Wire Frames besides Jigglypuff in the beginning. Go to the edge, wait, [[down smash]] when they all come down, then go to the Poké Balls.

The world record strategy involves the use of [[Mewtwo]]'s [[Confusion]] pull-through glitch, wherein if Confusion is used on a standing opponent as Mewtwo falls by the platform the opponent is standing on, the opponent will be pulled through the platform. Use this glitch to KO as many Wire Frames as possible throughout the match. Ignore the first Poké Ball, as it almost always contains a Wobbuffet, but grab the second before Jigglypuff does.
