Kansai 2018 (or 11th Kansai) was a national Super Smash Bros. tournament held in the Kansai region of Japan. There were 51 entrants, and a lot of matches including 2 pools and Top 8 were streamed live on Nico Nico and on Isai's stream.
Kansai 2016 used a similar tournament format as its predecessors: There were 8 Round-Robin pools with best-of-one 4 stock matches. The top 4 players in each pool advanced to a 32 player double elimination bracket, with winners being best-of-3 and losers best-of-one. Every smasher could only use one character for the entire tournament.
wario beat Fukurou in winners finals and the second set in grand finals to take first place. This was wario's first national tournament win since 2016. In pools he also beat Kurabba to whom he had lost 5 sets in 2017. Isai (playing Fox) and AllGreen provided some Western representation. They both made it out of pools. AllGreen finished 25th and Isai 17th losing to Kippe and Bonobono (as well as Fukurou in pools).
