Technicals is a YouTuber from Las Vegas, Nevada who initially was a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Fox player, and was formerly ranked 8th on the Las Vegas Smash 4 Power Rankings. However, he would later gain notoriety for his series of YouTube videos covering the misconduct allegations within the competitive smash community in 2020 and onwards. Beforehand, a few of his videos on were focused on creating guides for Smash 4 characters such as Toon Link before eventually branching out to commentary and rant style videos and attended a few tournaments in Smash 4 before the release of Ultimate. His first video that would be the start to his videos criticizing several smashers began with his video on ESAM, in which he accuses him of hypocrisy for calling out other figures within the community for inappropriate behavior such as racism and sexism, despite ESAM's past behavior being very similar, to which prompted ESAM to make a response video apologizing for his behavior back then and post a Twitter thread apologizing to MJG and FOW for promoting false claims about them as well. He would then later go on to make several videos covering smashers such as CaptainZack, Samsora, ZeRo, Nairo, ANTi and Sky.
