Overview
In transition from Brawl to 4, Luigi received a mix of buffs and nerfs, although mostly nerfs. Luigi received the buff of a lower jump on the ground, so he can more quickly get out of his helpless state, and a higher jump in the air, to aid in recovery. Sadly, for Luigi's recovery in general, it has been nerfed due to the Super Jump Punch's lower range, it now goes lower than Mario's, and because of Smash 4's quicker engine, Luigi falls faster, and now has less control in the air when using this move, heavily hindering it's recovery potential.
Update history
- Super Jump Punch (default) ground sweetspot radius: 1.6 → 1.7.
- Super Jump Punch (default) ground sweetspot z-offset: 6.1 → 7.0.
- Super Jump Punch (default) air sweetspot radius: 2.1 → 2.2.
- Super Jump Punch (default) air sweetspot z-offset: 4.7 → 5.5.
- Super Jump Punch's default grounded hitbox size increased (1.7u → 2.2u).
- Super Jump Punch's default aerial hitbox size increased (2.2u → 2.7u).
