In February 2019, Cyan Can was formally banned from tournaments in the ''Ultimate'' Arkansas Smash community due to disruptive and potentially dangerous behavior. During his local ban, he has only competed in a single regional, [https://start.gg/tournament/gdex-underworld-2019/event/gdex-underworld-smash-ultimate-singles/brackets/678798/1107431 GDEX Underworld] located in Ohio, in which he placed 7th in singles and 3rd in doubles. A discussion soon afterward lead to him feeling uncomfortable competing and making a retirement post to force himself away from the community, as since coming back to events he had shown no evident problems. He didn't compete 6 months due to this circumstance. | In February 2019, Cyan Can was formally banned from tournaments in the ''Ultimate'' Arkansas Smash community due to disruptive and potentially dangerous behavior. Cyan Can was told that players on past PRs could not qualify for Gatekeeper (#11) or HM but this was not true. There was also a Northwest Arkansas player on the PR, which he thinks should not be allowed. Since this event, Cyan Can has decided to take a hiatus from entering ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'' locals again and has decided to rebrand. | ||
