Okay, this might be irrelevant to the page, but does anyone know how to actually get each individual costume render as their own image? I can't copy them from the website and the ones used for this page are too small. Pratikmii03 (talk) 07:06, November 30, 2020 (EST)

:The Spriters Resource has what is used in-game, but for the highest resolution they'll be from the website. To get them from the site you want to go to that fighter's page, right-click > Inspect Element (or Ctrl+Shift+I)(for Chrome, other browsers may be slightly different), go to the "Sources" tab, top > www.smashbros.com > assets_v2 > img > fighter > Mario (or whoever). The desired images will start with "main", you may need to cycle through the alts on the page to load the others. Right-click > save/open in new tab > right-click > save image as... (Chrome is weird sometimes). On Chrome it may save as a "webp", but this can easily be changed to png with online converters and most image editing software can open them. --CanvasK (talk) 07:50, November 30, 2020 (EST)

Despite such great achievements of this game, many were not pleased about the fighters' palette swaps. Some might claim that Sora and Bandai-Namco did not perform enough rigorous research on sites and wikis to salvage some palettes that were used in past games, and that most of the fighters' palettes seem unfitting. Even so on, some stated that eight palettes for each fighter "ain't enough to tango" unless any volunteers could come up with some research to improve the colors for all. Fans and gamers stated that if the sprites and models in the past games were "recycled" and put in to SSBU for a far better look to ensure that the palette swaps would give a far better look, it would have helped boost the knowledge and basis of what came from in the distant past. Although there was research for colors in other past titles and themes from other characters, the developers were unaware of it, and not much came about by all means. Both developing companies reached a consensus to specifically limit all fighters to eight palettes due to "file size limits", but would have gotten more than eight for some fighters if more research was performed in the timeframe of development.
