The main selection menu for the mode as of Version 8.0.0, allowing players to select the Spirit Board of a specific Challenger Pack from Fighters Pass Vol. 1 & 2.

DLC Spirits is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate mode added in update 3.0.0 where players can collect Spirits based on each respectable Challenger Pack, with the background and music of the menu of each DLC Spirit board being themed after it.

Unlike the Spirit Board, Spirit battles in this mode can be played as many times as the player wants, and if the player defeats a spirit, then they get it right away instead of trying to shoot it. These boards can also have multiple pages if there are more than eight spirits from a given board (excluding the Enhanced Spirits).

Completing all the spirit battles on a board will reward the player with 10,000 Gold.

Trivia

  • Every DLC Spirit board contains one Support Spirit of the Legend-class.
    • Each of these Spirits contains a unique ability not featured on any other Spirit in the game.
  • Dragon Quest is the only DLC Spirit board to have had a Spirit added to its board after its release (Tockles).
  • Banjo-Kazooie is the only DLC Spirit board:
  • Fatal Fury is the only DLC Spirit board:
    • To feature spirits outside of its universe.
    • To have no two spirit battles share the same music, including the menu music.
    • Whose corresponding character is not fought in any Spirit Battle.
    • In which the Legend spirit is not the last one on the list (not counting Tockles being added after the DLC Spirit Board itself).
      • However, Geese Howard, the Spirit board's Legend spirit, is the last Fatal Fury spirit in order, as all other spirits after him are considered "Others" spirits.
  • Fire Emblem is the only DLC Spirit board:
    • Where none of the spirit battles feature King Dedede as a puppet fighter.
    • Based on a pre-existing primary universe.
    • Which does not contain any unique background artwork, simply displaying an image of the Cathedral of Garreg Mach Monastery.
  • ARMS is the only DLC Spirit board:
    • To contain pre-existing Spirits, with the Spirits in question being Spring Man, Ribbon Girl, Ninjara and Twintelle.
    • To contain music outside the series (for the former and latter stated above).
