I imagine it has to do with the ESRB. Both Assassin's Creed and Fallout are M-rated series, and though other M-rated franchises have made it into Smash before, it's been as playable or other significant representation where it's sort of hard to not acknowledge the universes they came from (and they've been "integrated" enough in the game that they could reasonably claim to the ratings board that their depiction is solely about Smash). For the Mii costumes, the only thing we're seeing is a costume based on a single character and nothing else about the series, so it may be easier to sweep the actual franchise they're from under the rug so that they don't have to change the "rated E10+" splash at the beginning of the presentation to "rated E10+ to M" by acknowledging those series. Just a theory, but I imagine this is why (because it certainly can't be copyright issues, the presentation where Altair was shown off had Rabbids shown as the very next costume without any issue, and both of those IPs are owned by Ubisoft). Just a theory, but I'm fairly confident that I'm right on the money as to why this is happening (because it certainly can't be copyright issues, the presentation where Altair was shown off had Rabbids shown as the very next costume without any issue, and both of those IPs are owned by Ubisoft).
