|*The Stage choice reflects the Fairy World along with its music in the stage and the Title Screen in ''Panel de Pon'' (including the Flower Effect's origin design). Several flowers can be seen in this background along with pink petals seen on the stage similar to the ones seen in Lip's Garbage Block. In Vs. mode, the game has a plane for each of the 2 players to destroy panels, make chains and combos to send Garbage to the opponent.
*The condions of having a flower effect on your head and the spawning Lip's Stick item references sending Garbage Blocks to your opponents in ''Panel de Pon''.
*Mii Swordfighter's move set in this battle references:
**Blurring Blade (3rd Neutral-Special) references Panels being popped one after another in ''Panel de Pon''.
**Airborne Assault (1st Side-Special) references how the Panels are moved left or right on the cursor.
**Skyward Slash Dash (2nd Up-Special) references the Cursor being able to be moved in different directions.
**Reversal Slash (2nd Down-Special) references how the Panels can be swapped and rearranged in ''Panel de Pon''.
**Mii SwordFighter is smaller since Lip is not that large of a character.
**Using Jigglypuff resembles the Furifuri the Rabbit. Jigglypuff's ground jump animation is similar to Furifuri's when the player creates a chain or clears a stage in any of the 1-player modes in Lip's stage in ''Panel de Pon''. (Note that Jigglypuff jumps higher in this spirit battle). The choice of Jigglypuff could also be Watabou the Fluffy, as Jigglypuff falls the slowest of any character in ''Smash''.
