In order to Wall- or Ceiling Tech, one needs a wall or a ceiling.

It's quite simple, actually: While tumbling after a hit, simply press L or R 30 frames or less before hitting the wall or ceiling and you will perform a tech.

There are types of Wall- and Ceiling Techs:

  • The "normal" one where you will simply bounce off the wall or the ceiling
  • The Jumping Wall-Tech where you will perform a Walljump (even if you don't naturally have one)

You will gain a slight window of invincibility when performing a Wall- or Ceiling Tech, just as with a normal Tech. And just like with a normal Tech, you can do a Wall- or Ceiling Tech at any time you're in your tumbling animation.
