(It's never confirmed in Fates that the dragons in said game are Manaketes. They're only and always simply referred to as dragons. It also wouldn't be the first FE games to have dragons and not Manaketes.) |

Corrin (カムイ, Kamui) is the main character and player avatar of Fire Emblem Fates.
In Super Smash Bros. 4
Corrin is set to appear as a downloadable playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4 on a undisclosed date in February 2016, alongside Bayonetta. When purchased on the Wii U version, two new music tracks for Coliseum and Castle Siege will be unlocked.
Origin
Corrin originates from Fire Emblem Fates, where he is the player avatar in a similar vein as Robin. However, unlike Robin, Corrin is also the main character of the game, and the plot revolves around him trying to decide between siding with his adoptive family, the violent kingdom of Nohr, or his birth family, the peaceful kingdom of Hoshido. Corrin is also notably half dragon, abd using the power of dragonstones, can temporarily transform into their true form of a dragon, and this ability is a large part of Corrin's moveset in Super Smash Bros. 4. Uniquely among other dragons and Manaketes in the series, Corrin can transform part(s) of themselves into their dragon equivalent without the rest changing as well.
As a player avatar, Corrin's gender (among other things) can be chosen by the player. While the different outfits, skin tones, and voices are not present in SSB4, Female Corrin appears in half of his costumes, like Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, and Robin.

Trivia
- Corrin is the most recent playable character in the entire Super Smash Bros. series, and the second one to be added before the worldwide release of his game (after fellow Fire Emblem representative Roy). However, Roy's game wasn't released anywhere at the time of his debut in Smash, while Corrin's had by then been released in Japan.
- Corrin is also the only playable character in SSB4 to have debuted after the initial release of SSB4 itself.
- Corrin's male artwork in SSB4 bears a similarity to his official art in Fates, albeit his left hand is in a different position and his sword is angled more downward.
- The female artwork, however, is exactly the same pose in both Fates and SSB4. Unlike in Fates, though, she has her inner thighs covered.
