:::::::I think the idea was similar to that of the unofficial lingo or featured article icons - they tell you something about the article itself (in this case, that it's focused on technical data) rather than its content. I dropped the idea though, because it's probably a good idea to try and keep the number of icons as low as possible, and am considering a template at the bottom of such pages, like how Bulbapedia has several "this page is part of project X" notices.
