He is notable for making his first debut at Cyber Arena II and shocked the entire community with his ability to utilize every banana trick Diddy Kong can possibly do. Before entering in real life tournaments, Chompy was able to practice online with other players around the world, so he can learn the matchups as well as practice his skills. Originally, Chompy was going to main Pit before Diddy was announced. In the end, he favored Diddy over Pit because he grew up with Diddy from all those years. Pit is used primarily on stages Diddy has trouble fighting on in general and getting back on stage, like Norfair, Rainbow Cruise, Frigate Orpheon, and Delfino Plaza. During this time he made slightly over $1,000. He stopped competing after April of 09 and came back into the smash scene in March of 10. During the 2010-2011 year, Chompy was rusty, played casually, and therefore he was not into the competitive scene as much as he did in the 2008-2009 season. Chompy has officially retired from ''Brawl'' as of May 2011, and will come back to the Smash scene when the next [[Super Smash Bros. 4|''Smash Bros.'' game]] comes out.

  • The Smash Name, Chompy was originated from a school mate referred to him as "Mayor of Deerfield" because they lived on a street that was named after him. Originally, he was going to be called "Mayor", but the name sounded too much like someone else he knows, so he scrapped the idea. One day, there was an episode of the show "Fairly Odd Parents" where the Goat named "Chompy", who became the mayor and took over the town.
