The Chozo Statues are statues of the humanoid bird-like race, the Chozo. They have been featured in almost every Metroid game, extending their long arms that usually hold out upgrades to Samus's Power Suit. Some Chozo statues come to life when Samus goes into Ball-mode in their hands, taking Samus to another area or giving area maps to her suit. These helpful statues are not to be confused with the identical looking Torizo, sentinel statues that come to life and attack Samus.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, a single Chozo statue sits in the background of Brinstar. It sits with its arms extended and its hands outstretched, like it was holding a power-up item. After about a minute, the statue will come to life and stand up, walking a brief distance before turning around and sitting back down in its original position.

Trophy description

"These statues, which provide power-ups to Samus and have some connection with her Power Suit, have been found in many places, most notably Zebes. The Chozo boasted the most advanced civilization in their galaxy. Some say that when they could advance no further, they chose to withdraw and observe other life forms."
