Lovage is an American smasher who mainly uses Fox. He is best known for winning the first The Big House tournament, defeating S2J and KirbyKaze along the way, and also for his losers run at Northwest Manifest, where after losing to Chip he eliminated a slew of players, including Axe, Westballz, and SFAT, to place 2nd. Due to these performances, he was retroactively ranked 7th on the RetroSSBMRank 2011 and listed as an honorable mention on the RetroSSBMRank 2012. Although he would never the same career heights as his 2011 and 2012 performances, he remained a threat in competitive play for many years after, most notably upsetting Leffen at GameTyrant Expo 2017 in what many consider one of the greatest upsets in Melee history.[1]
