Actually, Koopa Kid was playable in the MP series, not Baby Bowser. But you're right -- Bowser was never a playable character. The Magnum Master 17:53, August 21, 2007 (EDT)

Relation of the "Koopa Kids/Koopalings"

While this should common knowledge by now, it's apparently still not to many who have been referring to them as his offspring on this page. The Koopalings (formerly known as the "Koopa Kids") are not Bowser's offspring. This has been demonstrated in numerous ways throughout the years:

1.)By the very fact that one is named "Morton Jr."
2.)The cartoon series showed they were adopted
3.)The introduction of Bowser Jr.
4.)They were never specifically stated to to be his offspring
5.)The fact that they specifically changed the name to "Koopalings" to avoid confusion.

I'd like to see the citations. And "Jr." works for grandchildren too, doesn't it? Anyone that is alive and related during the same time, even if it skips a generation? Anyway those names were all puns anyway so you can hardly consider that the deciding factor. They even called Bowser "King Dad" in the tv show, and none of the games ever hinted they were adopted... I've personally never heard "junior" used for any other relative other than a son. Anyways I could have sworn I remembered an episode that said they were adopted but I can't find anything info on the Web about it so maybe I just dreamed it. Granted, growing up I always thought they were supposed to be his kids too, but nowadays it now it seems fairly clear that Nintendo's been specifically trying to suggest otherwise in recent years with their sudden name change to "Koopalings" and their new emphasis on Bowser Jr. Plus when you examine them and notice names like "Morton Jr." you kinda have reconsider their relationship, especially when they've never actually said they were his kids in any of the games. I suspect the original Japanese SMB3 development team did not intend for them to be Bowser's offspring when they designed them, but NOA interpreted them that way and marketed them as such in the cartoons etc. Maybe it's worth at least mentioning them on the page as possibly being his children, but their relationship definitely isn't certain. --Bman87301 23:37, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I may have confused you by the order I listed things in my first post. Morton's name isn't the main reasoning for the argument--it's how the Nintendo has been presenting things in recent years (like focusing exclusively on Bowser Jr. and changing their name to "Koopalings", thus removing "Kids" from the name). My point is we don't know whether or not the designers intended them to be his kids. You're right, Morton's name doesn't prove anything, but it certainly doesn't help the theory that he's a son either. Pun or not, it's still the name they chose. And if they did intend him to be his son there were plenty of other pun names they could have used-- that's the whole reason I mentioned his name. You need to stop focusing on the whole "Morton Jr." thing because if you don't you're just missing the point. Glitch

In Melee, i used to be a heavy player with Bowser, so heavy i neglected to attempt to unlock any other characters, somehow I ended up with the All-Star mode trophy of Bowser, but had yet to unlock all star mode, I am not sure how this happened, maybe either by reaching a certain amout of KOs with him, or possibly beating other single player modes under certain conditions. too lazy to write name or whatever
