While the first three installments are invitationals, the fourth will be an open tournament. Since {{Trn|Ludwig Ahgren Championship Series 2}}, it has had some of the largest prize pools in ''Melee'' history (offline or online), and each tournament has had the largest prize pool for an online ''Smash Bros.'' tournament. The prize pools are often $1 or $2 more than a multiple of $1,000, in order to place them untied in the top ten largest prize pools for a ''Melee'' tournament at the time.
