I've decided to check the Sound Test in ''Ultimate'' to see if you were right, and as it turns out, the "Series" was added to the "FINAL FANTASY VII" section, which I am 100% certain was not there before the update came out (I do know that at least during the Music section of the August 2018 Direct, it flat out shows it as "FINAL FANTASY VII" without the "Series" in the Sound Test).
