On the morning of July 2nd, 2020, amidst a wave of sexual harassment allegations in the community, a user on [[Twitter]] by the name of KTDominate posted a Twitlonger where she said that D1 had raped her while she was drunk during {{Trn|Smash the Record 2016}} and told all of his friends about the experience <ref>{{citeweb|url=https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sra52i|title=KTDominate's statement}}</ref>. Hours later, D1 would release a response apologizing to KTDominate but stating that both of them were drunk and that he had no recollection of the events while denying that he had told anyone about the experience <ref>{{citeweb|url=https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sra5fc|title=D1's statement}}</ref>. However, {{Sm|MVD}}, who helped mediate the situation, posted a screenshot of a DM between him and D1 showing that D1 had knowledge of what had taken place<ref>{{citeweb|url=https://twitter.com/MVD731/status/1278701479533010946|title=MVD's statement}}</ref>. {{Sm|ESAM}}, who was also involved in mediation, later shared his account of the situation, which conflicted with D1's story. <ref>{{citeweb|url=https://twitter.com/PG_ESAM/status/1278699686262706180|title=ESAM's response}}</ref>.
