1 April 2019: In a second Nintendo Direct which was hosted by PewDiePie, Spider-Man, a truck, a can of Mountain Dew, Jake Conway and Jim Sterling were announced to be additional DLC characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

1 April 2019: It has been decided that 75M will become a legal stage in all future tournaments. Furthermore, any tournament in the future must include Gust Bellows, Beetles and Hammers as available items.

1 April 2019: After Sakurai retired, it was announced that PewDiePie would take over in developing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC and any future titles.

1 April 2019: Owing to all the craziness form Mew2King 2.0, Sakurai retiring, Melee HD being canceled, and other things that could be hard to say slash explain Naruto Uzumaki has been added to SSB4

1 April 2019: The planned HD remaster of Super Smash Bros. Melee was scrapped because the devs realized that after years of research, it's not a real Smash game.

1 April 2019: It is of grief for me to have to say this but because of Sakurai's retirement, angry Melee fans decided to assassinate him, for they thought he betrayed them. He will forever be missed.

1 April 2019: For the first time ever, Goku, a character long thought to have no chance, has been announced alongside the likes of Randolph_Thespis_Klauwd_III and Trollbat. Additionally, for the first time in the series, Mario (SSBU) from Super Mario Bros. Galaxy Land World U Deluxe Final Mix/Days HD Remix Remaster Remake Ultimate Special Exotic Edition of Time Mask Tale Under Winds Maker, has finally joined the battle as the 80th DLC fighter.

1 April 2019: Masahiro Sakurai has retired from Sora Ltd. and Nintendo. His famous last words were, “My arms can finally have a vacation now!” Afterwards Nintendo announced the new owner of Sora Ltd. and Super Smash Bros. would be none other than Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA. "This is the best cash-in of all time," he exclaims. His assistant is none other than former Nintendo of America localiser Michelle Powers.

1 April 2019: Yesterday a new Nintendo direct was announced and when it finally premiered today, they announced 3 different DLC characters: Randall the Cloud, Trollbat, and Jotaro Kujo. While the Nintendo devs weren't looking, however, Hungrybox (illegally) uploaded Mew2King 2.0 into Ultimate, who was first revealed at SmashWiki's Invitational, shocking people as none thought a character would be announced at a tournament. Much like Ryu and Roy from SSB4 all four characters were released the same day they were announced.

24 March 2019: At Full Bloom 5, Marss, Cosmos, and Maister take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles; Zain, SFAT, and S2J take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Melee singles. Cosmos & Marss take Ultimate doubles; PewPewU & SFAT take Melee doubles.

17 March 2019: At Collision 2019, Marss, Nairo, and Frozen take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles. Nairo & Cosmos take Ultimate doubles.

9 March 2019: At Smash Ultimate Summit, MkLeo, Dabuz, and Glutonny take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles.

9 March 2019: At Return to Subspace 2, Marss, Dark Wizzy, and Laid take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles; Cody, Pelca, and Mikeray4 take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Brawl singles. Dark Wizzy & Marss take Ultimate doubles; Mikeray4 & Hinkage take Brawl doubles.
