In order to Wall- or Ceiling Tech, one needs a wall or a ceiling.
It's quite simple, actually: While tumbling after a hit, simply press L or R 30 frames or fewer before hitting the wall or ceiling and you will perform a tech.
There are types of Wall and Ceiling Techs:
- The "normal" one where you will simply bounce off the wall or the ceiling
- The Jumping Wall tech where you will perform a wall jump (even if you don't naturally have one)
You will gain a slight window of invincibility when performing a wall or ceiling tech, just as with a normal tech. And just like with a normal tech, you can do a wall or ceiling tech at any time during your tumbling animation.
