Rice, also affectionately referred to as SmashDad by his local scene, is a smasher and tournament host from Montreal, Quebec, and is considered the leader of Smash for the region. Though mainly a Melee player, he plays and runs tournament for all games in the Smash Bros. series. He has organized or helped run the city's largest tournaments, such as Smash Intensifies, Polybash XIII and Smash Till You Crash 4, as well as numerous other tournaments. He is credited for reinvigorating Montreal's scene by creating Melee weeklies in 2013. He has additionally helped in locations outside his native Quebec, notably Ottawa where he helped recreate their community and started monthlies. Since late 2014, he has taken on a more passive role in the community, leaving to the leadership to Kyle.
