Hello! I am doing a research article on Greninja and was attempting to determine who designed it only to find lack of clarity. SmashWiki claims it is Yusuke Ohmura. While it's plausible giving he previously designed the Piplup and Oshawott lines, as well as the legendaries for X and Y, I've yet to find an official source on this. Would anyone happen to know, or how that information ended up here? Thanks. --[[User:Nintendo101|Nintendo101]] ([[User talk:Nintendo101|talk]]) 10:08, 11 July 2016 (EDT) | Hello! :I'm not totally sure where that claim came from. I can only guess that it's an extrapolation of what is known officially about Ohmura's design work on Xerneas and Yveltal. Part of the complication is that outside of a few that we know Ohmura designed and a handful by {{s|bulbapedia|James Turner}}, I'm not sure if it's ever explicitly confirmed that the rest are Sugimori's own work. Newest Character[edit]
How exactly is Greninja being the most recently debuted character "volatile" trivia? Sure, it may possibly be subject to change in the future, but the same could be said to tons of other trivia. And if by the off-chance someone from a newer game is announced, we can change it. It isn't that big of a deal. ChuckNorris 20:06, 22 April 2014 (EDT)
- It's based on incomplete information (we still don't know much of the playable roster), and nothing guarantees Greninja will be the most recently debuted character in Smash 4. As SW:TRIVIA states:
- "Volatility. "Sakurai confirmed Skull Kid as an Assist Trophy, this means Zelda is the only universe along with Mario to have more than one assist trophy." Information that is based on incomplete information (such as information from an unreleased game) and is likely to change or be rendered non-notable in the near future should not be added as trivia. Trivia based on other temporary information that is subject to change should also not be added. "
- And no, there is not "tons" of other volatile trivia based on incomplete information; such trivia gets removed just like it is here. Omega Tyrant 20:11, 22 April 2014 (EDT)
- And if Sonic being the only third-party veteran is volitile, despite the only other possibility, Snake, had more recent history with Sony, Greninja being the most recent debut is even more volitile. There were games that came after XY. And in some of those games, they've introduced new characters. There are other XY characters that could have made it. All we need for Sonic's only third-party veteran status is Sakurai confirming that Snake was cut, while for Greninja being the most recent character, we need to wait for the the game come out, have someone unlock every character, analyze the debut date of each character. So yeah, this is very volitile and it would take a lot of work to prove. SeanWheeler (talk) 10:39, 23 April 2014 (EDT)
Meme[edit]
Should I cover the internet meme where people put a mewtwo face on greninja calling him grenintwo or something? Ive seen memes covered on other pages like this one.So is it ok?--Pichu+Pichu (talk) 16:31, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
- I've never heard of that meme, so chances are it's not notable enough. Toomai Glittershine The Dispenser 16:35, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
