Any characters with a "*" next to their name meant that they were formerly on my prediction list.
Any characters with red color on their names means that although they are currently not confirmed as a character yet, I still think it is possible for them to be DLC additions to be playable characters. As of February 2016, when the final DLC characters came out, this is no longer the case and previously characters marked as red who weren't announced as playable are now crossed out.
