I'm a bit irritated that the page falls under the category "Hacking". Having anything that could make someone uneducated believe TASing = Hacking is usually a bad thing, which is also why I removed some of the "hack" occurrences in the article. --[[User:Mugg1991|Mugg1991]] ([[User talk:Mugg1991|talk]]) 04:09, 13 August 2018 (EDT) | |||

Should this be called "Tool-assisted speedrun"? DoctorPain99 22:32, 10 August 2013 (EDT)
- I support this because I think it is a good idea to have the title of the article its full name, but refer to it as TAS (like how we always refer to Directional Influence in articles as DI but the article is a full name). Scr7 04:42, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
I agree with Scr7. Boo Buddy 04:43, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
"Tool-assisted superplay" is more accurate, since the majority of such videos aren't speed runs at all. Omega Tyrant 04:45, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
- Ah, yes, I said speedrun before because that's the term I hear more often, but you're right "superplay" applies more here. DoctorPain99 04:57, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
- Yeah, 'Tool-assisted superplay' is probably the best name for this. Scr7 14:54, 15 August 2013 (EDT)
- Support renaming to Tool-assisted superplay. Dots The Brawl 00:16, 16 August 2013 (EDT)

Updating the page[edit]
I updated the page to make the following improvemenets:
- It now looks more appealing to the eye, instead of linking videos, I embedded some of them.
- Improved the phrasing and removed misleading phrases ("this player is known for his hack gameplay").
- Added some history to Melee. I don't have much insight into the other games, but it would be nice if some info could be added especially in regard to which emulator is used and how 1-Player records progressed.
- Removed some credits (I don't think people perceive Silent Wolf as a "real life TAS" anymore), although it can be argued if this should be added back in but in the past tense.
I'm a bit irritated that the page falls under the category "Hacking". Having anything that could make someone uneducated believe TASing = Hacking is usually a bad thing, which is also why I removed some of the "hack" occurrences in the article. --Mugg1991 (talk) 04:09, 13 August 2018 (EDT)
