Wario-Man is Wario's Final Smash. It involves him turning into his costumed alter-ego from WarioWare: Twisted! and WarioWare: Touched! by eating garlic.
Wario-Man (ワリオマン, Warioman) is Wario's Final Smash which has him transform into Wario-Man, his costumed alter-ego from mariowiki and mariowiki, by eating bad garlic. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. 4, Wario-Man can be freely controlled, moving and attacking normally with a moveset similar to Wario's. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the player initiates a rush forward, which can trap opponents and trigger a single flurry of blows with comical effects before the Final Smash ends.

When Wario uses this move, he takes a bite of garlic and turns into Wario-Man while shouting "Here I go!". The transformation is somewhat similar to Bowser's. During the final smash, all of his moves are upgraded greatly, being extremely fast and strong. He moves a lot faster, deals more damage and knockback, and is virtually invincible, though he can still be hurt by eating bombs.
Overview
In Brawl and Smash 4
In Brawl and Smash 4, Wario takes a bite of garlic and turns into Wario-Man while laughing. The transformation is somewhat similar to Bowser's. During the Final Smash, all of his moves are upgraded greatly, being extremely fast and strong and having decreased ending lag. All of his throws are able to KO opponents above 70%. Wario-Man's attacks deal more damage and knockback, and he's virtually invincible, which even includes being immune to footstool jumps. However, he can still be affected by Brawls random tripping, take damage by eating explosive items or going off-screen, and be affected by size changing items, such as the Super Mushroom and Poison Mushroom. Also, Wario-Man is unaffected by Metal Boxes.

Also, his aerial attacks except his down aerial cause him to gain altitude without entering helpless mode, giving him unlimited recovery. However, since his aerials make him gain altitude in a set path, an effective wall of pain is not possible. All of his aerials can be strung together for a rather ridiculous-looking upward movement.
Wario-Man's mobility is also increased greatly, enabling him to run just as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog, and he has the highest air speed of any fighter in Brawl. In Super 4, Wario-Man's mobility remains mostly unchanged, but his status as the fighter with the fastest air speed is given to Giga Mac instead.

All of Wario-Man's aerial attacks, except his down aerial, cause him to gain altitude without entering helpless mode, giving him unlimited recovery. This also means that Wario-Man can easily perform both Hyrule Jumps. However, since his aerials make him gain altitude in a set path, an effective wall of pain is not possible. All of his aerials can be strung together for a rather ridiculous-looking upward movement.
A fully charged Wario Waft is a one-hit KO as Wario-Man, though the half charge one is unaffected. His bike becomes so fast that it can outrun the cars in Big Blue, and must be jumped off almost immediately to avoid self destructing on smaller stages.

All of his throw (except for down throw) is able to KO opponents above 70%.
Wario Waft charges faster, and a fully charged Wario Waft from Wario-Man can deal one-hit KOs under normal circumstances, though the half charge one is unaffected. His bike becomes so fast that it can outrun the cars in Big Blue, and must be jumped off almost immediately to avoid self destructing on smaller stages. Additionally, Wario's Corkscrew deals electrokinetic damage to any fighter it hits.

The transformation lasts around 18 seconds.
Once the duration of the Final Smash is up, Wario-Man will spin in place while surrounded by a ball of light, causing him to revert back to Wario. Immediately after transforming back, Wario will perform an animation, during which he is briefly intangible. On the ground, Wario will get up and brush dirt off himself, and in the air Wario will spin in place while posing with his mouth open. In Brawl, Wario will make a loud, echoing "Oooooh..." right after transforming back, while he stays silent in Smash 4.

It is interesting to note that Wario-Man's moves that normally can only be used once can be used again when he transforms back into Wario. For example, if Wario-Man does a Corkscrew and then transforms back into Wario in mid-air, it's possible to Corkscrew a second time without touching the ground. Also, if Wario-Man transforms back into Wario while wielding a Hammer or a Golden Hammer, the Hammer will restart its process over again, allowing the player to double the amount of time they can use the hammer. Occasionally, because the process restarts itself, the player may end up getting a headless hammer or a squeaky Golden Hammer afterwards.

The transformation lasts for 16 seconds in Brawl and 12 seconds in Smash 4.

In Ultimate
In Ultimate, the move has Wario charge forward after eating the garlic. If the rush connects, a cutscene plays where he turns into Wario-Man and unleashes a barrage of attacks accompanied by comical text and effects, ending with a fart that launches up to three trapped opponents (the initial hit loses its hitbox upon hitting the third opponent, but more opponents can be hit if struck at the same time, although only the first three hit will be affected by the cinematic). The Ultimate version of Wario-Man joins all former "transformed moveset" Final Smashes (such as Giga Bowser and Giga Mac) in losing its player-controlled moveset in favor of a quick attack that returns players more promptly to normal gameplay.

|ssbudesc=Wario wolfs down garlic and delivers a headbutt. Any foes hit by the headbutt are forced to deal with multiple Wario-Men's striking fists of justice. Finally, Wario-Man launches the foes with carefully stored flatulence. After transforming into Wario Man, he splits himself into copies that attack all at once. The final fart isn't affected by the charge of his down-special fart.

Changes from Wario in Brawl
Besides a few very minor nerfs, Wario-Man outclasses Wario in every single regard and is considered one of the best final smashes in Brawl.

Wario-Man originates from mariowiki and mariowiki, appearing as the alter-ego for Wario. In both games, once the player has beaten all of the microgame compilations from the other characters, the player unlocks Wario-Man's mariowiki compilation. In WarioWare: Twisted, Wario transforms into Wario-Man after falling into mariowiki's invention: the mariowiki, while in WarioWare: Touched! Wario transforms after consuming a rotten piece of garlic, later named mariowiki in subsequent WarioWare titles, which inspired the animation of Wario-Man's transformation seen in Smash (minus the fact that he eats a regular head of garlic in Smash, as opposed to a mandrake). This "new character" then appears on the main menu with a brand new set of microgames available to attempt. Wario-Man's games were the last of its kind both times and were more challenging than the preceding games.

Origin
Through out multiple scenes in Twisted and Touched, Wario-Man exhibits some kind of superhuman abilities, such as the ability to fly, as well as having him say he is stronger and more resistant than before; however, most of his powers in Smash are more likely derived from typical superhero/super-villain powers in general comic books and other media. In addition, the stylized graphics seen in the version of his Final Smash in Ultimate are also derived from these kinds of media.

Even though Wario-Man is invincible in Super Smash Bros., he was actually shown to be harmed in the WarioWare games, such as being attacked by Orbulon's spaceship in Twisted and getting launched by a train in Touched.

Trivia
Trivia
trivia

*Wario-Man can die in Stamina Mode, causing an Undead Glitch to occur.
*Along with Wario's down tilt becoming much faster from Brawl to SSB4, Wario-Man's down tilt is arguably the quickest attack in the entire series (especially among moves requiring multiple button presses), with the entire move lasting just a fraction of a second.
*If Wario-Man does a Corkscrew and then transforms back into Wario in mid-air, it's possible to Corkscrew a second time without touching the ground.
*While normal Wario normally wears the Franklin Badge and Screw Attack on his nose, Wario-Man wears them on his stomach.
*It is interesting to note that while Wario wears the Franklin Badge and Screw Attack on his nose, Wario-Man wears them on his stomach.
*Wario-Man is available as a separate character through hacking, although when he is KO'd, he reverts back into Wario. At the end of a match, the game will freeze if he has not reverted into normal Wario due to having no results screen animations. Once reverted, he will not be able to transform back into Wario-Man unless he uses the Smash Ball. The transformation will then function normally, reverting Wario-Man back into normal Wario after a period of time.
*If Wario-Man transforms back into Wario while wielding a Hammer or a Golden Hammer, the Hammer will restart its process over again, allowing the player to double the amount of time they can use the hammer. Although occasionally, because the process restarts itself, you may end up getting a headless hammer or a squeaky Golden Hammer afterwards.
*For whatever reason, the speed multiplier of Training Mode does not affect how long (in real time) Wario-Man lasts. This also applies to Mega Lucario, but not Giga Mac.
*If Wario-Man is star KO'd in a stock match and loses his last life, and transforms back before he "pings", the transformation "circle" will not disappear.
**Oddly, as of Super Smash Bros. 4, while Giga Bowser's time limit is now based on the amount of frames that have played, Wario-Man's duration is still based on how many real time seconds have passed.
*Wario-man can fly past the Blast line, unlike other characters. If Wario-Man continuously flies upwards and transforms back to Wario, he will fall for a rather long time. However, he can die from using Wario Waft.
*In Brawl, when Wario-Man charges his smashes, they will make a sound effect different from regular Wario's charging sound effect.
*Although Wario-man is invincible, he will still take Hoop damage.
*Wario's bike disappears upon the move's usage.
*Wario-Man's Wario Waft also charges considerably faster, but not by much.
*In Brawl, whenever Wario-Man jumps from a ledge, he only jumps vertically with no horizontal momentum. This means that if he jumps from a ledge and the player does not press move left or right, he will grab onto the ledge again after he falls.
*Wario-Man is affected by the effects of both Super Mushrooms and Poison Mushrooms, but he is unaffected by Metal Boxes.
*In Brawl, size changing items affect Wario-Man's damage multiplier differently than with most other fighters. For an example, acquiring a Super Mushroom causes Wario-Man's direct attacks to deal around 1.8x their normal damage, instead of the usual 1.56x. He shares this trait with his regular version (Wario), Samus, Fox, Falco, Wolf, Captain Falcon, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Lucario, and Snake.
*Wario-Man is available as a separate character through hacking, although when he dies, he just turns back into Wario. At the end of a match, the game will freeze if he has not turned back into Wario due to having no results screen animations. Once turned back into Wario, he will play as normal and cannot re-transform unless using the Final Smash, which will still be temporary.
*In Brawl, using a Smash Ball as Wario-Man (via playing as him through hacking) will revert him to normal Wario.
*In Wario Ware: Touched!, Wario-Man transforms back into Wario by eating a Wario Bomb, and eats a "funky" garlic to become Wario-Man, rather than eating normal garlic to transform.

*Although Wario Man does not suffer any knockback or damage in his form, he can be KO'd by the Isaac Assist Trophy.
See also
*In Wario's alter-ego's first appearance, his moustache was red (or possibly pink as his nose was the same colour), but in every subsequent game, his moustache has been black.
*Undead glitch
*Wario-Man can perform any Hyrule Jump (including a full one), given the nature of his aerials.
*For whatever reason, the speed multiplier of Training Mode does not affect how long (in real time) Wario-Man lasts.
*Wario-Man is able to fly upwards infinitely by using his up-aerial quickly and repeatedly.
*When Wario-Man charges his smashes, they will make a sound effect different from regular Wario's charging sound effect.
*Wario-Man can actually be KOed by a Team Healer when at very high percentages and if it doesn't heal him.

Wario-Man (ワリオマン, Warioman) is Wario's Final Smash which has him transform into Wario-Man, his costumed alter-ego from WarioWare: Twisted! and WarioWare: Touched!, by eating bad garlic.

OverviewEdit

In Brawl and Smash 4Edit

In Brawl and Smash 4, Wario takes a bite of garlic and turns into Wario-Man while laughing. The transformation is somewhat similar to Bowser's. During the Final Smash, all of his moves are upgraded greatly, being extremely fast and strong and having decreased ending lag. All of his throws are able to KO opponents above 70%. Wario-Man's attacks deal more damage and knockback, and he's virtually invincible, which even includes being immune to footstool jumps. However, he can still be affected by Brawl's random tripping, take damage by eating explosive items or going off-screen, and be affected by size changing items, such as the Super Mushroom and Poison Mushroom. Also, Wario-Man is unaffected by Metal Boxes.

In UltimateEdit

Instructional quotesEdit

instruction booklet   Take a big bite of garlic and transform. He still uses normal attacks in this form but all are dramatically powered up. Stay airborne by using midair attacks.
Move List   Wario wolfs down garlic and delivers a headbutt.

Changes from Wario in BrawlEdit

Besides a few very minor nerfs, Wario-Man outclasses Wario in every single regard and is considered one of the best final smashes in Brawl.

AttributesEdit

  •   Wario-Man is invincible, only being vulnerable to random tripping and eating explosive items with Chomp.
  •   Wario-Man walks faster (0.85 → 1.3).
  •   Wario-Man dashes dramatically faster (1.35 → 3.5), now having the same run speed as Sonic.
  •   Wario-Man's air speed is much higher (1.222 → 1.692).
  •   Wario-Man's traction is higher (0.07 → 0.1).
  •   Wario-Man falls much faster (1.4 → 2.2).
  •   Wario-Man's gravity is higher (0.0842 → 0.09).
  •   Wario-Man jumps dramatically higher (30.27382666 → 66.31680556).
  •   Wario-Man is heavier (107 → 130), though this has no real impact due to him being invincible.

Ground attacksEdit

  •   All of Wario-Man's grounded attacks have drastically decreased ending lag, allowing them to easily combo into each other. They also have larger hitboxes.
  •   Neutral attack combo deals less damage (12% → 8%) and has lost all KO potential.
  •   Neutral attack now combos into itself and Wario-Man's other moves extremely easily.
  •   Forward tilt deals more damage (14%/13%/12% → 17%/16%/15%) and knockback (22 (base), 98 (scaling) → 35/100), and no longer has less-damaging sourspots.
  •   Up tilt deals more damage (10%/6% → 15%/12%).
  •   Up tilt's late hit has a shorter duration (frames 15-23 → 15-18).
  •   Down tilt deals more damage (8% → 9%), has higher knockback scaling (60 → 90), and is now an extremely powerful semi-spike (65° → 10°), making it excellent for edgeguarding.
  •   Dash attack deals more damage (7%/5% → 12%).
  •   Forward smash deals less damage (19% → 16%) without full compensation on its knockback scaling (77 → 90).
  •   Forward smash covers much more distance, to the point where Wario continuously moves forward during the animation.
  •   Up smash deals more damage (15% → 25%) and knockback (40 (base), 97 (scaling) → 60/90) and has a vacuum effect, sucking nearby opponents into the move.
  •   Down smash deals more damage and now deals consistent damage (13%/10%/5% → 18%), and the clean hit has higher base knockback (30 → 40).

Aerial attacksEdit

  •   All of Wario-Man's aerials have drastically decreased ending lag and larger hitboxes, allowing them to easily combo into each other.
  •   All of Wario-Man's aerials except down aerial now grant Wario-Man extra height, effectively giving him an infinite recovery.
  •   Neutral aerial deals more damage (9% (clean), 4% (late) → 15%/11%), although the clean hit has slightly reduced knockback scaling (100 → 90).
  •   Forward aerial deals more damage (7% (clean), 4% (late) → 15%/11%) and is much more effective as a wall of pain due to its larger hitboxes/lower ending lag, Wario-Man's higher air speed, and the fact that forward aerial now gives Wario-Man extra height and combos into itself extremely easily. The late hit also has a longer duration (frames 7-17 → 7-19) and has higher knockback scaling (80 → 90), although the clean hit has reduced knockback scaling (100 → 90).
  •   Back aerial deals more damage (10% → 15%/11%), although it has reduced knockback scaling (100 → 90) and now has a sourspot, giving the move a longer duration. It is also much more effective as a wall of pain for the same reasons as forward aerial.
  •   Up aerial deals slightly more damage (17% → 18%), has higher base knockback (30 → 35), and combos into itself extremely easily, making it an incredible damage racking tool.
  •   Down aerial is now a stall then fall consisting of a meteor smash and a landing hitbox.
  •   Down aerial deals more damage (16% → 23%).
  •   Down aerial auto cancels later (frame 25 → 29), no longer doing so in a short hop, and Wario-Man has less control while using it.

Throws/other attacksEdit

  •   All of Wario-Man's throws deal more damage (12% → 15% (forward), 9% → 17% (back), 12% → 17% (up), 7% → 17% (down)) and have higher knockback scaling (65 (forward), 60 (back), 72 (up), 18 (down) → 100 (all)). All throws except down throw can now easily kill under 100%.
  •   Pummel deals more damage (2% → 3%).
  •   Forward throw is now a powerful semi-spike.
  •   Down throw is now a powerful meteor smash. This improves its edgeguarding potential and puts opponents into tech situations, but removes its ability to chaingrab.

Special movesEdit

  •   Chomp’s throw deals more damage (5% → 10%) and has increased knockback scaling (70 → 100).
  •   Wario Bike travels much faster and is significantly more powerful.
  •   Wario Bike's higher speed, however, makes it easier to self destruct with it. It also means that Wario-Man can't make use of wheelies or intentionally break the bike and use tires as projectiles as easily.
  •   Corkscrew gains more height and now consists of two powerful electric hits which deal more damage (19% → 28%).
  •   Fully charged Wario Waft deals more damage (40% → 50%) and now has much more knockback (50 (base), 30 (scaling) → 0/100), making it an OHKO. Wario Waft also charges faster, and its half and fully charged variants have larger hitboxes (11u → 13u).
  •   Half charged Wario Waft deals less damage (21% → 19%) and knockback (50 (base), 66 (scaling) → 20/70).

Changes from Brawl to Smash 4Edit

Wario-Man received a mix of buffs and nerfs from Brawl to Smash 4 but was nerfed overall.

AttributesEdit

  •   Wario-Man has a shorter duration (16 seconds → 12).
  •   Wario-Man jumps much lower.
  •   Wario-Man is lighter (130 → 107) though this has no real impact due to him being invincible.

Ground attacksEdit

  •   Forward tilt has less startup and end lag improving its combo potential.
  •   Down tilt now functions more like Wario's Brawl down tilt hindering its edgeguarding and KO potential and preventing it from comboing into itself.
    •   However, it can now combo into his aerials.
  •   Dash attacks deals more damage (12% → 14%).
  •   New forward smash deals more damage (16% → 23%).
  •   New forward smash has more startup lag and covers significantly less distance greatly hindering its approach and combo potential.
  •   New up smash is more reliable as it is no longer a multi hit.
  •   New up smash deals less damage (25% → 20%) and it no longer sucks opponents into it. The removal of DACUS hinders its approach potential.
  •   Down smash's sourspot deals much less damage (18% → 5%).

Aerial attacksEdit

  •   Neutral and forward aerials deal more damage (15%/11% → 16%/12% (neutral), 16%/11% (forward).
  •   Neutral aerial has more ending lag and is overall less effective for recovering.
  •   Forward aerial has more ending lag and causes less hitlag hindering its combo potential.
  •   Back aerial deals more damage (15% → 18%). It also no longer has a sourspot.
  •   Up aerial deals less damage (18% → 15%) and causes less hitlag hindering its combo and KO potential.
  •   Down aerial deals more damage (13%/10% → 15%/12%). It is also more effective as a meteor smash due Smash 4's changes to meteor smashes improving its reliability and KO potential.
  •   Wario can no longer auto cancel down aerial out of a full hop due to his lower jump height.

Throws/other attacksEdit

  •   Forward and back throw animations have been swapped.
  •   Back throw deals less damage (17% → 15%).
  •   Down throw is more effective as a meteor smash.

Special movesEdit

  •   Chomp deals more damage (2% → 3%).
  •   Wario Bike deals much less damage (25% → 13%).
  •   When Wario Bike reaches the edge, it now stops all momentum. This makes it harder to self destruct with it but hinders its edgeguarding potential.

MovesetEdit

Super Smash Bros. BrawlEdit

Name Damage Description
Neutral attack 4% A left hook, then right hook. Can easily rack up damage due to its lightning-fast speed and the fact the Wario-Man moves forward with every punch. These two properties can lead to an incredibly swift and effortless zero-death combo with Wario-Man's forward tilt as the coup de grâce.
4%
Forward tilt 17% Wario-Man swings his right fist in a circle then thrusts it forward. Has great range and can be used in rapid succession.
16%
15%
Up tilt 15% (clean), 12% (late) Wario-Man raises both hands above his head, raising the roof. Can be used in rapid succession like his forward tilt.
Down tilt 9% Wario-Man stabs his index finger at the ground in front of him. Very quick.
Dash attack 12% Wario-Man trips and falls flat on his face, sliding a small bit. Hits longer than one might expect it to, lasting through the time Wario-Man lies on the ground. Can be interrupt be the last hit occurs.
Forward smash 16% Wario-Man performs his trademark Dash Attack, from the Wario Land games and Wario World. Extremely fast and rockets Wario-Man forward. Despite Wario-Man being invincible, it retains normal Wario's super armour and transcendent priority.
Up smash 2% (hits 1-5), 15% (hit 6) Head grows as Wario-Man spins, hitting multiple times with the head. Best used for DACUS and has a vacuum effect.
Down smash 18% Wario-Man spins on the ground, bashing foes with his head. Can be interrupted in the middle of the second hit.
Neutral aerial 15% (clean), 11% (late) Accompanied by a gradually lowering sound of falling, Wario-Man extends his hands and fingers, then spins in place. A quick move to use in the air. Gives Wario-Man the most height compared to his other aerials.
Forward aerial 15% (clean), 11% (late) Sticks his foot a short distance forward. Fast and lasts a long time. Best used for "Wall of pain"-style attacking. Useful for momentum cancelling and edgeguarding. Spamming the move will make Wario-Man move fly forward
Back aerial 15% (clean), 11% (late) Throws his head backwards, hitting foes with it. Spamming the move will make Wario-Man move fly backwards.
Up aerial 18% Wario-Man claps above his head with both his hands and feet. Very quick start-up, high knockback, can KO easily with low delay. The hitbox covers his whole body, even where he doesn't clap and has a slight horizontal disjoint. This is a great move to use on floaty characters with poor aerial defense. Spamming the move will make Wario-Man move fly upward.
Down aerial 13% (hit 1), 10% (landing) Wario-Man turns upside down and spins, drilling with his head. The attack is a meteor smash but makes Wario-Man fall extremely fast and can potentially cause an SD.
Grab
Pummel 3% Pokes his opponent in the torso.
Forward throw 15% Wario-Man spins the foe around thrice and throws them forward. Identical to Mario and Luigi's back throw, except the spun opponent doesn't hurt other foes. Based on the Wild Swing-Ding seen in Wario World.
Back throw 2% (hit 1), 15% (throw) Wario-Man throws opponent behind him and hits them with his butt while posing.
Up throw 4% (hit 1), 13% (throw) Wario-Man throws opponent into the air and jumps up, headbutting them.
Down throw 4% (hit 1), 13% (throw) Wario-Man throws the victim on the ground and sits violently on top of them, who is then knocked behind Wario. Bystanders are meteor smashed.
Floor attack (front) 10% Wario-Man gets up and pokes both forwards and backwards.
Floor attack (back) 10% Wario-Man spins around with his fist extended.
Floor attack (trip) 10% Wario-Man thrusts his fists in front of him, then kicks his legs behind him.
Edge attack (fast) 10% Wario-Man crawls up the ledge and flips onto his back, attacking with his head.
Edge attack (slow) 10% Crawls up the ledge and slides his finger across the ground. Similar to his down tilt.
Neutral special Chomp 2% (bite), 10% (throw), 13% (eating an explosive) Wario-Man opens his mouth and bites the opponent once before spitting them out. Can rack up more damage compared to Wario's version.
Side special Wario Bike 13% (ride) Wario-Man gets on his bike and drives around. Dangerously fast and must be used with caution on stages that are small or have little standing ground.
Up special Corkscrew 14% (hits 1-2) Wario-Man leaps into the air while spinning. The aerial version covers much more vertical distance and both hits deal electric damage.
Down special Wario Waft 0% (no charge), 8% (slightly charged), 19% (mostly charged), 50% (fully charged clean), 20% (fully charged late) Wario-Man unleashes a gigantic fart on his foes. Charges extremely fast, with the uncharged fart stunning opponents, and the fully charged version being a one-hit KO.

Super Smash Bros. 4Edit

Name Damage Description
Neutral attack 4% Wario-Man steps forward and delivers a downwards punch followed by an uppercut. Can easily rack up damage due to it's lightning-fast speed and the fact the Wario-Man moves forward with every punch.
Can also be angled.
16%
15%
Up tilt 15% (clean), 12% (late) Wario-Man raises both hands above his head, raising the roof. Can be used in rapid succession, much like his forward tilt.
Down tilt 9% Wario-Man stabs his index finger at the ground in front of him. Obscenely fast, and can be used in conjunction with his other two tilts.
Dash attack 14% Wario-Man trips and falls flat on his face, sliding a small bit. Hits longer than one might expect it to, lasting through the time Wario-Man lies on the ground. Can be interrupted before Wario-Man gets up.
Forward smash 23% Wario-Man winds back greatly with his fist, and delivers an enormous backhanded punch. Can be interrupted the moment after Wario-Man unleashes the punch.
Up smash 20% Wario-Man performs a hard-hitting headbutt. Can be interrupted the after Wario-Man moves his head to the other side.
Down smash 18% (clean), 5% (late) Wario-Man spins on the ground, bashing foes with his head. Can be interrupted in the middle of the late hit.
Neutral aerial 16% (clean), 12% (late) Wario-Man spins in the air and crashes down with his arms and legs spread wide. Comes out very fast. Both hits can connect at low percents. Gives Wario-Man the most height compared to his other aerials.
Forward aerial 16% (clean), 11% (late) Wario-Man poses and kicks his foot out in the air. Fast and lasts a long time. Best used for "wall of pain"-style attacking. Spamming the move will make Wario-Man move fly forwards.
Back aerial 18% Wario-Man throws his head backwards, hitting foes with it. Spamming this move will make him move fly backwards.
Up aerial 15% Wario-Man claps above his head with hands and feet. His second quickest attack behind only his down tilt, it can be interrupted almost immediately after the hitbox appears, making it easily spammable. Constantly using this move will make him slowly fly upwards.
Down aerial 15% (hit 1), 12% (landing) Wario-Man turns upside down and spins, drilling with his head. The attack is a meteor smash but makes Wario-Man fall extremely fast. Can potentially cause an SD, unless Wario-Man uses his other aerials to regain altitude.
Grab
Pummel 3% Wario-Man pokes his opponent in the torso.
Forward throw 15% Wario-Man hits his opponent forward with his butt while posing. Extremely powerful, capable of KOing at the edge of Final Destination at around 45%.
Back throw 15% (throw), 8% (collateral) Wario-Man spins the foe around thrice and throws them behind himself, damaging those who come in contact with the spin. Unlike normal Wario, Wario-Man's back throw is stronger than his forward throw, capable of KOing at the edge of Final Destination at around 40%. Based on the Wild Swing-Ding from Wario World.
Up throw 4% (hit 1), 13% (throw) Wario-Man throws opponent into the air and jumps up, headbutting them. Has very high base knockback, and can KO at around 80%.
Down throw 4% (hit 1), 13% (throw) Wario-Man throws the victim on the ground and sits violently on top of them. Wario-Man's weakest throw, KOing around 110%; however, if used right against an edge, it can meteor smash or stage spike the victim.

Side special Wario Bike 14% (damage varies on wheelie, turning, and slamming) Wario-Man gets on his bike and drives around. Dangerously fast and must be used with caution on stages that are small or have little standing ground.
Up special Corkscrew 14% (hits 1-2) Wario-Man leaps into the air while spinning. The aerial version covers much more vertical distance. Unlike the standard version, it consists of two hits that deal electric damage, and can KO from ground level at 100%.
Down special Wario Waft 50% (clean), 20% (late) (maximum charged) Wario-Man unleashes a gigantic fart on his foes. Charges extremely fast, with the uncharged fart stunning opponents, and the fully charged version being a one-hit KO.

SpiritEdit

Wario-Man also appears as a Legend-class primary spirit.

Wario-Man's Spirit Battle uses a Wario puppet fighter and is fought on the WarioWare, Inc. stage. During the battle, Wario will receive a Sudden Final Smash and his FS Meter will quickly charge, referencing how Wario-Man serves as Wario's Final Smash.

OriginEdit

Wario-Man in WarioWare: Touched!

Wario-Man originates from WarioWare: Twisted! and WarioWare: Touched!, appearing as the alter-ego for Wario. In both games, once the player has beaten all of the microgame compilations from the other characters, the player unlocks Wario-Man's microgame compilation. In WarioWare: Twisted, Wario transforms into Wario-Man after falling into Dr. Crygor's invention: the Gravitator, while in WarioWare: Touched! Wario transforms after consuming a rotten piece of garlic, later named mandrake in subsequent WarioWare titles, which inspired the animation of Wario-Man's transformation seen in Smash (minus the fact that he eats a regular head of garlic in Smash, as opposed to a mandrake). This "new character" then appears on the main menu with a brand new set of microgames available to attempt. Wario-Man's games were the last of its kind both times and were more challenging than the preceding games.

TriviaEdit

  • Along with Wario's down tilt becoming much faster from Brawl to SSB4, Wario-Man's down tilt is arguably the quickest attack in the entire series (especially among moves requiring multiple button presses), with the entire move lasting just a fraction of a second.
  • While normal Wario normally wears the Franklin Badge and Screw Attack on his nose, Wario-Man wears them on his stomach.
  • Wario-Man is available as a separate character through hacking, although when he is KO'd, he reverts back into Wario.
  • For whatever reason, the speed multiplier of Training Mode does not affect how long (in real time) Wario-Man lasts. This also applies to Mega Lucario, but not Giga Mac.
    • Oddly, as of Super Smash Bros. 4, while Giga Bowser's time limit is now based on the amount of frames that have played, Wario-Man's duration is still based on how many real time seconds have passed.
  • In Brawl, when Wario-Man charges his smashes, they will make a sound effect different from regular Wario's charging sound effect.
  • Wario's bike disappears upon the move's usage.
  • In Brawl, whenever Wario-Man jumps from a ledge, he only jumps vertically with no horizontal momentum. This means that if he jumps from a ledge and the player does not press move left or right, he will grab onto the ledge again after he falls.
  • In Brawl, size changing items affect Wario-Man's damage multiplier differently than with most other fighters.
  • In Brawl, using a Smash Ball as Wario-Man (via playing as him through hacking) will revert him to normal Wario.
