It's possible that the ship took off by itself to avoid the impending rupture; it does have the intelligence. Its reappearence can be attributed to lazy cut & paste developers. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png eXemplary Logic cntrbs 01:57, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Why would you reduce this to a disambig[edit]

And not Arwing, Great Fox, et cetera? This is major enough of an element, used in enough places, to merit an article. Miles (talk) 12:54, 19 October 2010 (EDT)

The Arwings and Great Fox are actual stage elements that affect gameplay in both Melee and Brawl (not sure about the orignial Smash Bros.), which the Hecotate Ship is not. Any relevant information about the Hecotate Ship is covered in the articles on the disambiguation page. Omega TyrantTyranitarMS.png 13:02, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
That doesn't seem worded very well, so I'll rephrase it. The Arwings and Great Fox have more significance than the Hocotate Ship does. They have appeared as major stage elements in all of the Smash Bros. games (again, not entirely sure about Arwings in the original). The Hocotate Ship on the other hand, outside of trophies and stickers, just appears in a few cutscenes in the SSE, as a minor background object in an SSE stage, and as part of Olimar's final smash. But information about that is best and already covered in the respective articles and not in an article about the Hecotate. Omega TyrantTyranitarMS.png 13:14, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
SSE background, Final Smash, on-screen appearance, cutscenes + trophy doesn't merit an article? Miles (talk) 17:07, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
No, but the reason is not because it's widely used or not. We are a Smash Wiki. The ship has very little to do with Smash Bros. Something that must be noted about elements of a series that appear in other series, is that the wiki in which the element is just a cameo must have minimal info about it. In this case, Smash Wiki should have minimal info about the ship, whereas Pikmin wiki has a full article. The arwings, like Omega Tyrant said, have a bigger role in the Smash games. There is also no Starfox-related info on its article. I hope it wasn't too hard to understand what I meant. Espyo (talk) 17:55, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
...but there should be some background info on pages for pretty much everything explaining their history, really. I mean really. Miles (talk) 19:12, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
OT is right, the Arwings have appeared in all three games. So has the Great Fox. They also both serve as stage elements. The things you mentioned about the Hocotate ship are all minor things, so altogether it doesn't mean much. Mr. Anon (talk) 19:39, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
This thing has only appeared in backgrounds. Poke Floats background Poke have been deleted as you recall.--MegaTron1XD:p 19:43, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
But this appears in more than one place, and I'd hardly describe the total notability it thereby acquires as minor. Miles (talk) 20:43, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
Goonies appear in all three games, yet they don't get an article. Mr. Anon (talk) 21:25, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
^And yet the Spinies get their own page. Anyway, I'm indifferent about this situation as both sides make good points. The Hocotate is somewhat "major", but I don't know if it belongs on it's own page. Unknown the Hedgehog 22:40, 19 October 2010 (EDT)
