Gungnir is an SSB4 Ganondorf player from Japan, and is considered one of the best Ganondorf players in the world. Despite not being an active tournament-goer, he regularly streams on his NicoNico video account and his YouTube channel. He is highly respected within the Ganondorf community and is considered to be the "godfather of Ganondorf" by many. He proved himself worthy of this title by placing 17th at Umebura Japan Major. He has taken sets off of players such as Earth, Taiheita, Ginko, Yuzu, kept, and Shimitake.

In Ultimate, Gungnir continues to play Ganondorf and has taken sets off of Ly, DIO, Hidaka Drapion, Ark, Wada, Kurousa, and TsubasaSP. Online, Gungir has been ranked as high as 5th on the 14th Smashmate season.
