Meowstic gets psyched!
—Introduction tagline

Mewostic (ニャオニクス, Nyaonix) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Dream. It was confirmed on January 14th, 2016 by Apihedron, designed to represent Gen VI in a unique way. It is the fifth Pokémon newcomer for Super Smash Bros. Dream, after Nidoking, Pokémon Ranger, Youngster Joey, and Wes. It is voiced by TBD in Super Smash Bros. Dream.

How To Unlock[edit]

  • Play TBD VS matches.
  • Clear Classic Mode as either Robin or Corrin.

Mewostic must be defeated on Prism Tower. If battled by clearing Classic Mode, the gender battled is the opposite of the one being played as.

Attributes[edit]

Mewostic's playstyle largely depends on which costume is used. Therefore, Meowstic is essentially two semi-clones (of each other) in one character.

If a male costume is used, Meowstic's playstyle is more defensive, focusing on evasion, zoning, and punishing at the right time.

If a female costume is used, Meowstic boasts a more aggressive playstyle, forcing Mewostic to rush up close and take risks in order to overwhelm the opponent.

Final Smash Psyshock 60% Meowstic creates a psychic energy field in front of itself. If an opponent is in the field, Meowstic holds them in place with its psychic power, and begins levitating rocks before slamming them into the victim. Once the victim is surrounded by a rock cluster, Meowstic breaks the cluster and launches the victim away.
Male Name Damage Description
Forward smash N/A Meowstic sends a psychic wave forward. This wave has a forward pushbox.
Up smash N/A Meowstic sends a psychic wave upwards. This wave has an upward pushbox.
Down smash Gravity Meowstic creates two downward-facing waves at its side. The waves have a downward pushbox and can drop players off of ledges, making this useful for gimping.
Neutral special Default Psybeam Meowstic fires a pink psychic blast forward. It can be charged slightly to increase it's damage.
Custom 1
Custom 2
Side special Default Reflect Meowstic quickly creates a screen in front of itself that will reflect projectiles.
Custom 1
Custom 2
Up special Default Psychic Meowstic is able to float freely for a short time. The attack can be ended by pressing special again, using an aerial, or jumping (if a mid-air jump is available); Meowstic will go helpless after any action, or once the floating period is over.
Custom 1
Custom 2
Down special Default Imprison 0% Meowstic takes a calm stance. When struck, the opponent's attack is canceled by a red aura that "stamps" the opponent. The the attack that struck Meowstic is temporarily disabled, including projectiles. The length of Imprison grows shorter the more the move is used. Only one move can be disabled at a time; if another move is disabled, the first one will be free from Imprison's effects.
Custom 1 Reflect When struck, the damage is dealt back at the opponent with slightly stronger knockback. This will reflect projectiles.
Custom 2
Female Name Damage Description
Forward smash Meowstic points forward, creating a psychic blast.
Up smash Meowstic's ears unfold as it faces the screen. He ears pulsate violently with psychic energy.
Down smash Meowstic floats slightly above the ground, pointing down. Around her hand is a psychic field, with two energy orbs orbiting it.
Neutral special Default Disarming Voice Meowstic lets out a shout, producing sound waves in front of itself. The sound waves deal damage and stun, with the damage dealt and time the stun lasts increasing the longer the move is charged.
Custom 1
Custom 2
Side special Default Sucker Punch Meowstic front-flips forward. If the special button is pressed again, Meowstic will strike the foe with a diagonally downward punch. It the stick is tapped backwards at the start of this move, Meowstic will back-flip, though her punch will still go forward.
Custom 1 Fake Out Pressing the special button afterwards will instead perform a quick flip in the opposite direction, allowing for mindgames and evasion.
Custom 2 Scratch The flip is lower and more horizontal. The scratch doesn't descend, making safer off-stage, but Meowstic cannot back-flip.
Up special Default Future Sight Meowstic warps to the general area of a nearby player and releases a psychic burst, in an attempt to interrupt them. An interesting recovery option that can stop gimpers, but will fail if no opponents are nearby.
Custom 1 Extrasensory Meowstic quickly warps in the inputted direction. If she can strike the opponent with the end of the attack, she will not go helpless and the opponent will be stunned, allowing for followups.
Custom 2
Down special Default Frustration Meowstic grows angry and unleashes a flurry of attacks, ending with a strong punch. Grows stronger the higher her percentage, but loses power drastically if used in succession.
