Talk:Zero Suit Samus

I doubt Zero Suit Samus is 198lbs, also, her page for her in the power suit says 198lbs, and I doubt that thing is made of gas. Samus' ideal body weight is 176 pounds, and it sould be easy to believe a futuristic suit of alien manufacture weighs only 22 pounds. I will go ahead ad put her weight as 176lbs, if other reviewers see this to be wrong or something please put speculated or something, but she definately is not 198lbs. Well, I think we should say breast (not to sick, even though they're SEXY!) because the cool-looking pink lights are on her breast, not her general chest. Her breasts ARE large, by the way. It might also be the fact that a form-fitting suit hugs them, not muffling their size. Gargomon251 (talk)

Artwork

The Other M artwork and the Zero Mission artwork should have their spots swapped on the page. The Other M artwork is more recent and should be her main image. I tried to fix it a while ago but it got messed up. ChuckNorris 17:55, 10 July 2012 (EDT)

T Rating

Except Melee is also rated T. Multiple reasons for Melee and Brawl to be considered rated T, such as the violence and crude humor. Not worth mentioning that ZSS's appearance resulted in Brawl's rating when Brawl probably would have received the T rating anyway. MegaTron1XD 21:44, 7 July 2013 (EDT)

Height and build

Has anyone done comparisons of ZSS's size/build in Other M and in SSB4? IIRC she was completely dwarfed by the male characters in Other M even while wearing high-heels; in SSB4, she still has the heels but is still more comparable to the taller characters in height. Furthermore, it looks like her musculature did change slightly between Zero Mission and Other M, while she has roughly the same build in Brawl and SSB4.--Darthrai (talk) 14:19, 14 November 2015 (EST)

I see what you mean, since her model is roughly the same height in both Smash games with the heels making her a bit shorter - however, the point is, does she have her height from Other M (where again, she was very petite even with her heels)? In any case, you have Palutena being made much shorter than she was in Uprising, so I'm not sure if Samus' new height is an intentional reference to Other M (and I hope it isn't).--Darthrai (talk) 14:27, 14 November 2015 (EST)

EDIT: Just had another look at the picture, and it seems that she indeed looks shorter (particularly, her legs aren't as long). But is this universal? Someone could, say, take a side-to-side comparison of her against someone like Captain Falcon in both games and also compare it to her height against the males in Other M, unless this isn't worth pursuing. At least according to this discussion, Zamus is bulkier in SSB4 than in Brawl, so that's something (but again, not sure if worth noting).--Darthrai (talk) 14:31, 14 November 2015 (EST)

As an update, I've been watching Other M cutscenes extensively and noted that ZSS looks skinnier and more youthful than in both of her Smash appearances. I therefore noted (both on this page and the SSB4 page) that ZSS's design retains the general elements and body type from her Brawl and ZM design; even comparing the top two images on this page, it's pretty clear that her legs are thicker in ZM than in OM. Decided to remove most of the details on her physical appearance; I disagree with another user over her height, so it seems that there's some subjectivity involved (especially since character heights in Smash, in general, are hard to directly compare with their source material). Samus Returns artwork

Does anyone think the Other M artwork of ZSS in the infobox could/should be replaced with the Samus Returns artwork? While SSBU ZSS still wears a version of the Other M Zero Suit (now with Zero Mission colors it seems), she's definitely bulked up and that may indicate Samus Returns influence to some extent, as it gives her more of a passing resemblance to Samus Returns ZSS than Other M ZSS.
