Following the return of offline competitive play, Syrup established himself as one of the best Ness players in the United States by the end of 2022. Despite some initial mixed results, his Steve eventually had a breakout event at {{Trn|The Big House 11}}, where he ultimately placed 2nd. Syrup is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Steve and Ness player from New Jersey and is considered one of the best players with both characters in the United States. After seeing success at online weeklies, Syrup had a breakout performance at SWT: NA Northeast Ultimate Online Qualifier where he upset Ned, WaDi, and LeoN, en route to a 2nd place finish. Thanks to that run, he would be ranked 42nd on the Wi-Fi Warrior Rank for that season.

Following the return of offline competitive play, Syrup established himself as one of the best Ness players in the United States by the end of 2022. He picked up Steve in 2023 and eventually began solo-maining the character, while relegating Ness to a secondary. Despite some initial mixed results, his Steve eventually had a breakout event at The Big House 11, where he ultimately placed 2nd. Since then, he has become one of the best Steve players in North America.
