:I believe I've fixed the issue. The core problem was that {{t|InterwikiArticle}} assumed that every wiki's main page was at the title "Main Page" or that said page title would be a redirect to the main page's alternative name. I've just set it to instead point to the interwiki prefix without a target title, which thankfully MediaWiki is smart enough to default to the main page regardless of its title. (For example, <nowiki>[[mariowiki:|text]]</nowiki> turns into [[mariowiki:|text]] and just links to the main page.)
