Basically, an experienced Smash dataminer attempted to download the 1.0.8 update off of Nintendo's servers by directly finding the URL where the Wii U is supposed to look for the update, despite the fact that it wasn't supposed to be available yet. The quantity and quality of what we've gotten from this datamining is well beyond what's needed to convince me (and most people) of its legitimacy.
