:There's no rule saying I have to - it's a brand new discussion, so removing the tag before it can be discussed is not fair (and I'm pretty sure goes against a policy). ::It does not count as a new discussion if you re-added the tag exactly a DAY after it's removed. It doesn't work like that, so there's every reason to remove the tag.
