What the HECK!? How did I start an argument of this magnitude just by my discovery?? *sigh* Alright, lemme settle this. YES, Gastly is immune to any direct attack (punches, kicks, and whatnot), but he's also immune to swords and other weapons. Only projectiles hurt Gastly (or that's what we're told). There are two types of "indirect" attacks: disjointed hitboxes still attached to your character (like, again, swords) and actual projectiles. I have played lots of Smash Run and have come across Gastly as many different fighters, but no swing of the Master Sword, the Monado, Ragnell, chained wrecking balls, Galaxia, oversized jet-powered mallets, or even a Beam Sword hurts that Pokémon. The Mii Gunner's F-Smash and U-air are cannot be reflected, absorbed, or pocketed the same way you can with, say, a Fireball, and the forward smash article states that her's has the longest horizontal reach of any non-projectile F-Smash. They also CAN hurt enemies immune to projectiles, like Spike Top. How those two attacks can still harm Gastly is beyond me...
Look. I'm sorry if this little discovery of mine has cause all of you guys to waste your time arguing, but if you still don't believe me, give it a try yourselves.[[User:Herson|Herson]] ([[User talk:Herson#top|talk]]) 01:23, 3 October 2015 (EDT)
Don't apologize, there was no arguing, I was just rambling here trying to explain something to you and then Toomai brought up something new which rendered everything I said irrelevant, so hats off to him. About Your Quotes Page[edit]

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I changed the coding on your quotes page to match mine, and I just wanted to explain it to you so that you know how to change it in the future.

I used a {{#switch:{{#expr:{{#time:U}} mod (number of items)}} code, which allows it to switch from time to time. When adding a new quote, you just increase the current number by 1.

As for the quotes themselves, I used the {{cquote|(insert quote here)|cite=(whoever said the quote)}} code, which makes the quote setup you have seen. Adding another quote is a bit more complex; while there is the cquote template, there's also a number in front of it. The number of items thing in the previous explanation is the total amount of things you have, but the number that you start with in the actual code set is 0. That being said, when adding a new quote and changing the number in the code, you would subtract it by 1 and then put that number in front of the new quote. For example: let's say you wanted to add a new quote. You would change the current coding from...

{{#switch:{{#expr:{{#time:U}} mod 8}}

...to...

{{#switch:{{#expr:{{#time:U}} mod 9}}

...and then the added quote would be...

|8={{cquote|(new quote)|cite=(source of the quote)}}

...and then you'd have it.

Just keep this in mind, and you'll be in the clear. AidanzapunkSignaturesmall.PNGAidan the Aura Master 13:20, 8 March 2015 (EDT)

Custom move links[edit]

Please create redirects for custom move names instead of using section-header-links in the page text. That way, if the structure of the target page ever changes, we only have to update one link instead of a bunch. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Yoshi 12:19, 23 March 2015 (EDT)

Gastly...[edit]

So, Gastly is immune to all non-projectile attacks, but Mii Gunner's up aerial and side smashes are projectile attacks, so I don't get what you're saying when you're saying that they are exceptions to that immunity when they are not exceptions in the first place due to those attacks not being physical attacks but projectile attacks... Smashedpotatoes (talk) 18:22, 30 September 2015 (EDT)

Are you saying Gastly is immune to Mii Gunner's up aerial and side smashes? If so then never mind. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 18:24, 30 September 2015 (EDT)

I looked at your previous edits and it's the former assumption. Mii Gunner's up aerial and side smashes are indeed by definition projectiles so they aren't exceptions; they just fit the bill for being projectiles, thus being able to harm Gastly. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 18:28, 30 September 2015 (EDT)

They don't go as far as normal projectiles go, but they are shots fired from the cannon. Similar to shots fired from Mega Man's Mega Buster. They just disappear early. Probably for gameplay reasons. Sorry for all this by the way...bit silly for me to be writing all this over this. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 18:34, 30 September 2015 (EDT)

In case my comment on the page's talkpage wasn't seen, I'll clarify it here: Gastly's immunity operates on the mechanic of whether an attack is direct or indirect. Whether the attack is conceptually a projectile, or a disjointed hitbox, or whatever is completely irrelevant. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Ghostbuster 10:46, 1 October 2015 (EDT)
