The rest stops in Kirby Super Star's {{s|wikirby|Arena}} seem a more likely origin: they are actual rest areas between battles, contain a limited amount of healing items which don't regenerate (plus copy abilities) and show a box with the upcoming opponent noting how many battles are left. Was GOC as the origin ever confirmed? -[[User:Menshay|Menshay]] ([[User talk:Menshay|talk]]) 17:17, 10 November 2015 (EST)

::I believe the GCO origin is based on the music used for this area in Melee matching that subgame. Arena uses a different musical theme in KSS. It wouldn't hurt to mention both, though, since there's some thematic similarities in both cases and both are KSS.
