D1 is a very well known commentator for Super Smash Bros. Melee. His static commentating partner is Prog.
Both D1 and Prog were selected to commentate in the Super Smash Bros. Invitational, an event hosted by Nintendo, along with Scar. Their participation was revealed in the form of Smash 4 newcomer-style images.
