Master Core is the final boss of Super Smash Bros. 4. Master Core appears after a certain point during the fight with Master Hand and Crazy Hand; after they lose approximately 75 HP, Crazy Hand vanishes and Master Hand erupts into a cloud of shadowy particles, which reform into Master Core's body. Like Crazy Hand, Master Core is only encountered at high intensities. These intensities are above those required to fight Crazy Hand, and electing to fight both hands together is required for an encounter; choosing to solely fight Master Hand will not result in a Master Core fight even if the intensity is high enough. Like the Giga Bowser fight in Melee, the player is able to tell whether or not they'll be eligible for the fight through the color of an element leading up to it. If the path leading to the battle against both hands is purple, the fight will proceed normally and Master Core will not appear. If it's black, the fight will be interrupted for the encounter with Master Core. A low enough intensity will result in the path to the two-hand battle not appearing at all, forcing the player to take the path to the battle against Master Hand by itself. Master Core has more forms depending on the intensity, all made up of a fog of Shadow Bug-like particles. These particles will completely block its fighter display on the bottom screen, making it impossible to determine its health until its final form appears. At what seems to be at 7.0 or above, it'll start as a giant humanoid creature that can lift up the entire stage and toss it back down, among other attacks. Below 7.0 or after defeating the humanoid form, it'll turn into a scorpion-like entity whose abilities include slamming down one side of the stage like the Meta Ridley fight in SSE and can also bite the player from the background. Once that form is defeated or if the fight starts on an even lower intensity, it'll transform into a group of swords that attack the player in tandem using and vaguely resemble a hand while grouped. Defeating the swords will transform it into a black clone of your character which you fight normally; it appears to work on stamina but may also be able to be defeated by ring-out. It is unknown if Master Core can start on this form. Once the clone is defeated, the Master Core exposes itself as a large Smash Ball-like object and the fog both around it and on the bottom screen clears. This object won't attack and merely sits in the center of the stage. To end the fight, the player has to build up enough damage on it to knock it out of the arena; if an attack doesn't KO it, it will return harmlessly to the center - retaining its damage - for the player to attack it again.
Master Core is an optional boss in at least the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. 4. It is formed from the fusion of Master Hand and Crazy Hand on high difficulties, should the player choose to fight them both.

It is currently unknown if defeating the Master Core starting from its highest-intensity form yields any rewards. Starting at the scorpion form or lower appears to yield nothing, even if the player fought the humanoid form during that Classic Mode session but had to continue at a lower intensity lacking it.
On high enough difficulties (the exact range being currently unknown), once the Hands lose approximately 75 HP, they will leave the battle and merge into the Master Core entity. Master Core is a black mass of particles that takes on varying forms based on the difficulty and battle progression. It has HP, like other bosses, but it is hidden from the player.

Once the Simulacrum is defeated, the Core itself appears in the center of the stage, and its percentage is now visible (starting at 0%). The player must now simply rack up its damage to KO it; there appears to be no challenge in doing so, as it has no attacks and the clock is stopped. If the knockback of an attack does not KO the Core directly, it simply returns to the center of the stage.

Master Core is an optional boss in at least the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. 4. It is formed from the fusion of Master Hand and Crazy Hand on high difficulties, should the player choose to fight them both.

Forms

Master Core begins the fight in a given form based on the difficulty. Once a form is defeated, it progresses to the next one.

Note that all names for the forms are currently unofficial.

Sapien

The Sapien form is a large humanoid creature. It appears as Master Core's starting form on only the highest difficulties. Its attacks include firing energy balls from its forehead and grabbing players with its hands or its forehead. It is capable of moving the stage vertically to try and get players hit by its other attacks.

Scorpion

The Scorpion form appears on middle-high intensities, or when the Sapient form is defeated. It can fire spikes out of the ground, chomp at the player from the background with its large jaws, and do a full-body stomp that causes the stage to tilt for a brief moment.

Sabres

This form can be encountered first at middling difficulties, or when the Scorpion form is defeated. It appears as a group of five swords, one larger than the others. The swords can fire homing projectiles and slash at the player in varying formations. It appears that any of the swords can be damaged equivalently.

Simulacrum

In the penultimate phase, Master Core forms a copy of the player's character, slightly larger in size but otherwise equal. This form can be defeated either by depleting its stamina or by KO'ing it as with any normal character. There does not seem to be a difficulty where this is the only form fought.
