K.K. Slider (real name: Totakeke) is a character in the Animal Crossing series of video games. He is a musician who plays music in the coffee shop (in Animal Crossing: Wild World) or the Train Station (in the original game) every Saturday night, from 8:00 PM to midnight. After players listen to K.K.'s music, he hands out a tape recording, which they can play on a radio back at their house. Requesting "K.K. Song" between 8pm and midnight on Saturday nights will lead to the known tune Totaka's Song being played. He is based on Kazumi Totaka, who is also called "Totakeke", and plays the guitar.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee
In Super Smash Bros. Melee, K.K. Slider appears as a trophy with the title "Totakeke," his real name. At the time of the game, Animal Crossing had only come out in Japan on the N64 and thus was not well known in North America. If one looks at Totakeke's trophy when the language is set to English, it says "Future Release", but if the language is changed to Japanese, it will give both the Nintendo 64 and GameCube dates of release.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, K.K. Slider cameos on the Smashville stage, where he plays a song when the stage is played at 8:00 PM on a Saturday night, true to his role in the Animal Crossing games. His voice can be heard in many of these arrangements on the Smashville stage, namely:
- Go K.K. Rider!
- 2:00 a.m.
- K.K. Cruisin'
- K.K. Western
- K.K. Gumbo
- Rockin' K.K.
- DJ K.K.
- K.K. Condor
Bolded tracks are only played during concerts; the other two can be chosen from My Music.
Although K.K. Slider only plays from 8:00-Midnight on Saturday nights, K.K. Slider can be seen preparing for his performance earlier than 8. Additionally, while Animal Crossing Villagers usually pay full attention to the fight, if K.K. Slider is performing, the villagers' attention will be focused focused on him instead.

Totakeke
A wandering musician whose daily life is a bit of a mystery. He plays in front of the train station every Saturday night starting at 8:00 p.m.. He has a large repertoire and plays both old and new hits from all over the world. His music is so ingrained in the villagers, it's impossible to imagine them living without it.

K.K. Slider
A wandering musician. He plays concerts every Saturday night at the Roost in the basement of the museum. All he carries is a single acoustic guitar, but he can play music from all genres. You can request a single tune per concert, and afterward he'll give you a recording of the song to take home. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, his playlist included 70 songs.
Trivia
- In the player's guide to Super Smash Bros. Melee, K.K. was named "Arlo".
