WHOBO MLG was a Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament held by Xyro in Houston, Texas on May 3rd to 4th, 2014. It was the sixth WHOBO tournament, and a qualifier for the Melee event at MLG Anaheim 2014. It also featured singles and doubles for Super Smash Bros. Melee, Project M, and Super Smash Bros..
The ruleset slightly differed from WHOBO 4 and WHOBO 5; in order to run the event for MLG, Xyro had to come to an agreement on rulesets. For example, Meta Knight was legal in this tournament. However, rules such as Meta Knight having a ledge grab limit of 35 and everyone else having a ledge grab limit of 50, Frigate Orpheon being on the counterpick stage list, and double Meta Knight in doubles being banned were still implemented.
