== If you're losing because of the lag... ==
You should remember that the person on the other end is being affected by it just as much. When you make a controller input and the game freezes and it comes out the wrong way and ends up costing you, there are also times when the other player's input comes out the wrong way and they get punished for it as well. It's much harder to powershield and buffer attacks online than it is online, but the opponent is having a harder time doing those as well. When you groan because you were charging a smash attack, the game froze, and the opponent saw it and avoided it, there are times when the opponent was doing that as well and you managed to escape it. I would say that Kirby is one of the characters least affected by lag in the game. His attacks generally don't come out super fast, so you can almost always tell what you're doing; his running speed and lateral air speed are slow and his jumping height is small, so you can still have good control of him even during heavy lag. His low-percent combos are still mostly effective under the lag and don't require much tech skill. He also has five midair jumps, so if you mess up during your redovery, you can still almost always get back. Most characters in the game are affected by lag much more than Kirby, including characters with really fast attacks (such as Meta Knight), characters with bad recoveries (such as Ness, whose PK Thunder is frequently messed up by the lag), characters who require a lot of tech skill (such as Falco), characters with fast movements that are hard to control (such as Sonic's [[Spin Dash]], and characters whose combos are heavily affected by lag (such as King Dedede, who has a much more difficult time chain throwing people on Wi-Fi). So you should remember that when the game slows down a lot on your screen and you lost because of it, that lag shows up on the other person's screen as well, and they've probably lost games because of it as well.
