The Super Jump is performed by double jumping and [[air dodging]] right after Yoshi lands from a previous jump. The player will be boosted upwards about equal to a double jump, but Yoshi is still able to use his actual double jump afterwards. When combined with his double jump, he can gain a much higher vertical boost than when using his normal ground jump. The Super Jump can be repeated as long as the player keeps landing on platforms.
