:I think it's because the game only records a character's position 60 times per second (every frame), and when the launching speed is too fast, the position of that character just "skips" through the wall. Another example: Training mode, two Meta Knights, one fully enclosed box. On the bottom, have pass through platforms directly under the solids. Use the Drill rush glitch to go through the wall with both Meta Knights. Set one to 999%, then have the other use a smash attack.
