| This game was the first with the inclusion of the Robotic Operating Buddy, also known as "Robot" in Japan and R.O.B. in the Americas. R.O.B. is an unlockable playable character, although he was graphically enhanced while wheels and jet thrusters were also added on. [[Gyro]] (R.O.B's down special move) was based on a top-like accessory used for the game.
