I agree that when we're referring to this universe that we should label it as the ''Mother'' universe rather than the ''EarthBound'' universe. In Japan, all three games have "Mother" as the title: ''Mother'', ''Mother 2: Gyiyg Strikes Back'', and ''Mother 3''. So this means that ''Mother'' is the real name of the games (this is more apparent when Shigesato Itoi, creator of the series, said that the inspiration for the name came from John Lennon's song "Mother"). - To tell you the truth, the song isn't from Mother 3. It's in the first game, Mother. In Mother 3, they used the title song from Mother, which is called "Mother Earth". Mother Earth features a part of the unused lyrics in the first Eight Melodies. --Pokeflora (talk) 23:43, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

I agree that when we're referring to this universe that we should label it as the Mother universe rather than the EarthBound universe. In Japan, all three games have "Mother" as the title: Mother, Mother 2: Gyiyg Strikes Back, and Mother 3.
