Despite the fact that this would cause numerous problems, I think the character part could be like the wi-fi thing, when they make a new one, you can either keep one or replace yours with the new one. It has to be kept to one character or it would cause a character selection screen to look like those shopped ones that have like 100 characters and make it look very dirty. :Very unlikely. An entire character with model, animations, and attack data would take up far too much space, make wifi battles impossible, and having the one-at-a-time deal would bring too many complaints. - [[User:Gargomon251|Gargomon251]] 02:44, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Using data compression it could take roughly 1/2 the amount of data to make a whole character. The character data could take about 16MB of data or less. Another thing, characters can be released in bundles of 5. If the new characters cause collision errors, patches can be downloadable.
To help the cause a little bit, I have heard speculation of the release of a USB Wii Hard Drive, as well as the Virtual Console release of Gamecube and Dreamcast games soon after. In spite of Nintendo's goal of keeping Wii small and simple, an upgrade of some sort is inevitable (be it Hard Drive, Rumble-enabled Nunchuck, or Rice Cooker), just like a new Wii color.[[User:Pieguy|Pieguy]] 00:52, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
